Meeting: "African Renaissance: fact or fiction"? Wednesday, 25 May 2022, Rome
Like every year, World Africa Day is an opportunity for us to learn more together with experts of African nationality. The objective is the same as always: to give a voice to Africa and to listen to it, in order to get to know it better and to have the opportunity to confront it. This year we have the pleasure of having with us: H.E. Mr. George Johannes, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Holy See; Maryann Iloha, Bachelor (BNSc), University of Nigeria; Filomeno Lopes, journalist and author.
While Europe is increasingly showing difficulties in building its own identity, Africa seems to know where it wants to go and to want to do so with great determination. Where does the "African Renaissance" stand? What fields are being invested in and what are the prospects? We will talk about this with our guests on Wednesday 25 May 2022, at 5 p.m., at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, in Rome.
