RD Congo. The Computer Laboratory is Ready for the Students of Uvira, Thanks to the Contributions Raised

The creation of a computer laboratory intended for at least 300 students from 3 primary schools in the Uvira area, in South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been completed. The project, supported by Harambee, was promoted by the local association Ajeak. The region faces a series of challenges in the education sector due to the lack of resources and adequate infrastructure. Many schools lack equipment, and there is a shortage of qualified teachers that affects the quality of education provided to the students. The insufficiency of suitable teaching staff leads to overcrowded classrooms and a lack of individual attention for the students. The area is also characterized by persistent political instability and frequent clashes that negatively affect the school environment and students' motivation. In this context, the quality of basic education struggles to improve, and concrete initiatives like this one promoted by AJEAk are essential to fill the existing gaps. Thanks to the creation of the laboratory, students aged between 12 and 14 can take turns practicing the knowledge they have acquired in school and develop the necessary skills for their personal and professional development.
