The new call for proposals for Guadalupe Scholarships is now open!

On February 11, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the new call for proposals for the Harambee "Guadalupe Scholarships" program has opened. The program, created in memory of Spanish scientist Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri, provides mobility grants to women scientists from sub-Saharan Africa so that they can broaden their scientific horizons during research stays outside their country. The goal is to promote leadership and give visibility to African women in science and technology research and help foster and incentivize research in their countries, create new teams and new fields of research, capable of addressing the main challenges of their continent, in the following areas of health sciences, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals): water, energy, climate change, waste management, sustainable agriculture or food security. Starting today, female scientists from sub-Saharan Africa can apply for these fellowships for the 2024/25 academic year. Visit the section to download the call for applications.
